Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

Q: I’m a Student Paramedic, Can I work for you as a Technician?
A: Unfortunately, that’s not always possible.  We need to be able to prove as an organisation beyond any doubt, that you have the necessary qualifications and competence to carry out the role, as a Student, you’re not usually deemed fully competent until your course is completed.  That said, it is possible to gain alternative pre-hospital qualifications (e.g. FREC3/4 etc) to enable you to work alongside your studies, until you’re fully qualified as a Paramedic / Nurse.

Q: I’m looking to further my skills and experience, can you help with that?
A: In Short, Yes, Our team are very supportive, especially when it comes to CPD Learning and Experience Building.  Codeblue are also a Training Provider and have links with other training providers across the UK, so will be able to support you in gaining and building a higher skill set.

Q: Do you take on Qualified First Aiders?
A: As a general rule, First Aiders are not deemed to be highly qualified enough to provide “Event Medical Cover”, according to “The Purple Guide” and other Event Good Practice Guides, so usually we’d ask for applicants to have a Minimum of a Level 3 “First Response Emergency Care” or Equivalent, Relevant qualification as a “First Responder”.  That said, we’ll consider all applications as there are some specific roles for which a “First Aider” may be appropriate, e.g. Assisting with the Welfare Team, or working alongside higher level clinicians in an additional capacity.

Q: Do You Just Cover Festivals?
A: No, Codeblue Medical provides cover at a wide range of events and other medical commitments across the UK, This includes us being the resident medical provider at multiple music and nightlife venues, we’re preferred providers for Multiple Ultramarathon Events and Motorsport Organisations as well as covering regular TV/Film Work, Nightime Economy, Challenge Events, Community Events, Boxing and Martial Arts Events, Sporting Tournaments and Loads More… Including Festivals!
